Galena Forest

In a fit of randomness, my roommate (Rigdon, remember?) decides it's time to go running out to the woods.  We ended up going out to Galena Forest Park.  What a pretty place!  Somewhat scrubby, lots of dense underbrush.  A lot of these plants called "Manzanita" plants.  I just learned, actually, that the berries are edible in small quantities.  If you cook them, they're fully edible.  You can also make cider from them, as well as flour and meal by drying them and grinding them up!  What a useful plant, that harbors so many freakin' fifteen-foot bumble bees!  Seriously!  Yet another Nevada bug that has no respect whatsoever for personal space!  Sheesh.
